Rooibos tea, also called the red tea, is unique to So. Africa. Rooibos is harvested is the summer month and fermented and dried in the mountain air and hot sun of So Africa, the process is totally natural. Rooibos was discovered in the 18th century but its medicinal qualities were not known until Annique Theron saw how it soothed and pacified her baby. She documented her research and spread the news. Many studies have been done on Rooibos tea and they have shown to fight allergies, colic, insomnia, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps and it reduces joint inflammation. Studies have also shown that people with acne, eczema or warts had relief when applied topically as well as drinking it. It is also good for babies cradle cap and nappy rash.
